IRISH TERRIER
The Irish Terrier is one of the oldest Terrier breeds. At 18 inches tall, the Irishman is large enough to be a robust worker in the field and small enough to be a wonderful house pet. His wiry, golden-red, "broken" coat should be brushed weekly and hand-stripped several times per year. The temperament of the "Daredevil" is game and aggressive towards his quarry and adversaries, yet gentle and forbearing with those he loves. Strong-willed and sometimes stubborn, the Irish Terrier is generally eager to work and learn, but patience and a sense of humor are a necessity for owners.
